Tangy Szechuan NoodlesServes 2
 
1/2 lb extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce  
1 green onion, sliced thin 
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil  
1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
 
Rinse and drain noodles, let sit.  In a mug stir together soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth.  Stir in beef broth and hoisin.  Brown ground beef in a nonstick skillet, drain and remove to a bowl.
 
In the same pan add sesame oil and heat until hot. Add the onion, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes and saute 1 minute.  Stir in beef broth mixture and bring to a boil, then lower to medium. Cook 1 minute or until thickened.  Add noodles and toss until covered in sauce.  Stir in beef and until hot and serve.
